Dentures
Dentures are beneficial for those who are missing some or all of their teeth. Dentures are custom made to fit your mouth and can restore some function and aesthetics to your smile.
Complete Denture
A complete denture is made when there are no teeth remaining.
Most complete dentures last about 10 years before needing to be remade again due to bone resorption. Relines are usually needed every 3-5 years to ensure proper fit.
If you have a loose denture, implants can be placed to help retain ill-fitting dentures, eliminating the disadvantage of bone resorption and poor retention.
Partial Denture
Partial dentures are made when replacing multiple missing teeth.
They are held in by the help of your soft tissues as well as your remaining natural teeth
They also help keep your other natural teeth in proper position by preventing supra-eruption and shifting of your other natural teeth into the gaps of your missing areas.
Implant supported Dentures and All-on-4®
Implant supported dentures can be placed to help anchor dentures for more stability and more ease of chewing. The dentures click in to your implants like buttons, providing more stability and also ease of cleaning when removed.
If you’re tired of loose fitting dentures or have been told that you will be losing all your teeth, All-on-4® is an alternative treatment solution that will provide you a stable set of teeth the same day. All-on-4® is a set of fixed teeth anchored to implants.
Conventional Complete and Partial Dentures are removable and need to be cared for just like your other natural teeth. Dr. Kim will do a thorough examination to assess what treatment option is best for your oral wellness going forward.
